Welcome to the

Norwich Digital Photo Club (NDPC) website

About Us

We are a small, but enthusiastic, club which uses both praise and constructive criticism to encourage members in their photographic endeavours.

Our members’ photographic interests range from abstract imagery to wildlife, landscape, portraiture, macro, and more.

New members are assured a warm welcome whether they are complete novices with their first camera or seasoned photographers with knowledge to pass on to others. We concentrate on digital photography but the club is open to those who still enjoy using film, slides or prints. As the ‘best camera is the one you have with you’, smartphone and tablet photographs are also accepted.

Viewing photographs is balanced with practical evenings when we bring in our cameras, take photographs, and also share our knowledge about the various camera settings and how they can be used.

The programme for 2017/18 can be found by clicking on this link.

For further information about membership please click the link: 'membership'.

The club also has a Facebook page which may be found here. If you have Facebook a/c and would like to join, please click the 'join' button. Note that only club members will be admitted to this group.

It is with regret the committee for NDPC have had to make the decision to close the photography club. This has been a hard decision to make and one that wasn't taken lightly but over the last year the club has seen a sharp decline of members attending for various reasons. The club now finds itself in a negative money  situation which with the small number of members left still would not be enough to get the club’s funds to a healthier state in order for it to survive.

With regards to the assets of the club and in accordance with the last AGM meeting agreement was voted that any equipment owned by the club would be offered to 2 charities. One of these is local and the second is overseas.  Any member not in agreement with this please email back as soon as possible so the last committee meeting can discuss alternatives. The equipment concerned is the screen and projected. The stand Jonathon Tidswell had made for the club the committee had agreed it should go back to Jonathon for him to keep.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Committee members – David, Stuart, Robert and Kathy for the hard work they have put into the club to try and keep it going. Since joining I have learnt a lot and just recently taken the courage to go from automatic to manual on my camera.

I hope you all continue to enjoy photography.

Yours sincerely
